Lonely Planet Review
The owners of this charming B&B have gone to great lengths to create a stylish environment that combines modern convenience with refined decor. That means flatscreen TVs and dimmer lighting in all of the seven rooms, crystal chandeliers, polished walnut bedsteads and, in room No 21, golden walls.
More a small boutique-style hotel than a traditional B&B, this is an excellent option. Halfway down Via Cavour on the fourth floor of a 19th-century palazzo, it's bright, quiet and inviting. Although the helpful staff speak limited English, they know enough to welcome you into their elegantly attired establishment. Original works of art brighten the hallway, where there's also a fridge stocked with drinks. Rooms (and suites on the 2nd floor) are sunny and tasteful while the large modern bathrooms are beautifully appointed with coloured mosaic tiling, power showers and gleaming porcelain. Upstairs the views from the sun-terrace are quite something. The location is convenient, about 20 minutes' walk from most sights, and 10 minutes from Termini. Breakfast, however, is no great shakes: a cappuccino and a plastic-wrapped cornetto.
