Lonely Planet Review
Few hotels in Rome boast a better location than this one, smack-bang opposite the Pantheon. This is great but it means that a) rooms are much in demand, b) they're relatively expensive, and c) they're noisy until late at night. Still, the management's friendly and the recently refurbished rooms come with parquet and satellite TV.
To wake up and look out of your room window at the Pantheon is a unique experience. That's what you're paying for at the Abruzzi. That and the fact that you're within walking distance of just about everything - were the hotel to offer no more than a roof and a camp bed it would still be popular. As it is, it has 80 rooms spread over five floors, combining elegant simplicity (cherry wood furnishings and simple white walls) with discreet mod cons (satellite TV, air-con, heated towel racks). There's no Internet, however, and the hotel has no public rooms - breakfast is served in a nearby cafe. Two rooms have facilities for people with disabilities, although you'll have to make it up to the first floor where the lift starts.
