Lonely Planet Review
The Beachhouse has tidy, bright (though often small) rooms and a reputation for offering a good standard of budget accommodation. It has a more secure reputation than some other backpackers' dens in this neck of the woods.
It has decent communal areas (share bathrooms, a 1970s-era kitchen etc.) and very good access to transport, not to mention lovely Coogee Beach. Rooms themselves are simple, but the furnishings (carpets, walls, beds and doors) are in decent condition and you get a sense that maintaining the standards is important here. The friendly reception area comes with a great deal of tourist information, and whoever's on the desk is always ready to lend a hand or give directions.
