Lonely Planet Review
The Hilton is the most famous, anticipated and fancy facelift Sydney has seen in a long time - even the stats don't quite capture the feeling that something radical has happened to this particular (and barely recognisable) face of luxury accommodation - 30 months of work and a bill in the hundreds of millions.
The 577 rooms here are the last word in cooler-than-cool splendour, with black beam timber bedheads, flatscreen TVs with DVD player (although the DVD screenings actually cost more than the blockbuster cinemas down the road) Internet telephony and a system known as 'Magic' that they say will see all your needs, wants and desires satisfied before you even know what they are. Uberchef Luke Mangan has taken charge at glass restaurant and the historic and gorgeous Marble Bar has been left intact. Business facilities are state of the art and service standards very high.
