Lonely Planet Review
This central pub represents a good deal on a number of fronts - a super central location, low prices, plenty of character and its own microbrewery on the premises! The rooms themselves are in better than decent shape and all have en suite bathrooms - a rarity for pub-style accommodation in Sydney.
Your eyes can expect plenty of plaid and some antique-look furniture, while your nose can twitch at the smells emanating from the Thai restaurant underneath the aforementioned microbrewery. You ears, however, may be in for a bit of rumbling, as Wentworth Ave is not only a busy thoroughfare for cars but is also right near noisy Central Station. Windows aren't soundproofed, so pack the earplugs. Deluxe rooms have marble bathrooms and polished wooden floors and are worth that little bit extra.
