Lonely Planet Review

This long-running hostel meanders through two wonderful historic mansions, offering 176 beds, friendly staff, two kitchens and great outdoor spaces. It's a mazelike place where rooms have high ceilings, fridges and shared bathrooms, although there is one double with an en suite. Call from the airport for a free shuttle.

How to Get There

We have a free phone on the backpackers information board at the International airport to call us for your free pick up.If you are coming from the domestic airport just call us on our free call number 1800807 130 and we will tell you where to wait for the shuttle bus for your free pick up.
If you are coming by train,catch the train to Kings Cross station,take the Victoria Street exit and we are 150 metres from the station.
If you are coming by car follow William Street for about a half a kilometre,take the Kings Cross exit to the left,turn left into Darlinghurst Road(at the big Coca Cola sign) and left into Victoria Street 20 metres later.Follow Victoria Street for 200 metres and we are on the right hand side.Easy!

Reception is open 24 hours,so if the room is available earlier we can check you in earlier.If not we have free luggage storage,a comfy TV room and a lovely big courtyardso you can relax until the room is ready.There are great cafes within 100 metres of the hostel if you want to get a good cofee and a bite to eat.
