Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Roll into the lobby of this hotel and you'll be pleasantly greeted with a more elegant, airy atmosphere than at many Tokyo business hotels. Polished marble and wood trim give the place some panache. As with many hotels of this standard, it's worth spending up for the nicer singles - which have bigger, more comfortable semi-double beds rather than the skimpier single beds that sometimes leave your feet hanging off the edges. Rooms decorated in muted maroons and taupes are full of clean lines, a virtue extending also to the larg flat-screen TVs. Broadband internet access is available, and the rooms, though far from huge, are not claustrophobically small. Rooms facing Jingu-dori receive a bit of street noise, but not enough to register as bothersome. This is a reliable midrange choice with a touch of cool.

Author Tip

You may not need to leave Shibuya at all: in the neighbourhood you'll find everything from no (stylised Japanese dance-drama) theatre to jazz to art galleries to clubs to oddball museums to Shopping (with a capital Sh for Shibuya) - this is where to find the latest fashions that clothe all the hip young things jamming Shibuya crossing.
