Lonely Planet Review
With its slender tower and minimalist, black-on-black design, the Corporate looks like a slice of Tokyo lost in the tangle of Ulaanbaatar's ungainly Soviet architecture. It has a restaurant, sauna, bath, fitness room and a spectacular 11th-floor roof-top bar.
The look and feel of the hotel is unlike any other place in Ulaanbaatar. The lobby has a hard-edge finish and sharp lighting that makes for a visually impressive entrance. The rose petals on the table tops are a nice touch. Rooms are equally attractive, with beige cover sheets, soft lighting, ochre-coloured walls and spotless bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with Internet hook-ups. The best-value room is the apartment, which includes plenty of kitchen space and a sitting area. The unique design allows each room small nooks for more privacy, plus windows facing in two directions. Guests may be a little baffled by the hotel brochure, which states that the Corporate is "easy walking distance" from MTR subway stations (which are in Hong Kong, thousands of miles away). Peculiar marketing tactics aside, this is a recommended top-end hotel.

Author Tip
In summer families flock to the Children's Park, located opposite the Corporate Hotel. The park has rides for children and plenty of garden space for strolling. It also has the excellent Seoul restaurant, specialising in Korean BBQ.
