Michelle offers clean, no-nonsense rooms and a central location, close to embassies and university buildings. The building itself has obvious design flaws (ie. oddly-placed support columns in the middle of the rooms), but its an otherwise reasonable midrange choice. Facilities include internet hook-ups for laptop users and a free breakfast.

Michelle's 31 rooms are spread over a six storey building on a busy avenue. The best rooms face south, offering a view over the rooftops to the Bogd Khan Mountain. What you get for your money is a relatively small room with a TV, water heater, firm mattress and desk. Bathrooms are clean if unspectacular. Although this is a new building, cracks are already appearing in the walls, likely due to low quality construction - not unusual in this city. While hardly the type of place you'll write home about, Michelle is in a decent location and offers reasonably good service.
