Lonely Planet Review
Just a short stroll from the gleaming golden spire of That Luang, this homely garden villa has 15 well-tended rooms which are perennially popular with repeat visitors to Vientiane on NGO business or pleasure.
The cosy rooms include air-con, satellite TV, fridge, phone and, an added bonus, a free daily laundry service. The parquet floors polish up a treat - so much so that you'll be pulling your shoes off Lao-style before you enter the room. It is a small place, but this helps foster an atmosphere of intimacy. The staff are pretty friendly, and English and French are spoken, but one of the drawbacks is that famous sleepy approach to service so common in Laos. There is no restaurant at the villa, but the lush garden provides a haven for those seeking some peace and quiet. Those planning to stay a week or longer will be offered a generous discount.
