Rooms in this quaint 17th-century boutique are small but positively exquisite - especially the bathrooms. The loft suite, with balcony views of St Peter and Dome Cathedral, might just be the best room in Riga. The entire place is littered with amazing antiques.A gorgeous leather couch and ottoman set, handsome woodwork, sauna and jacuzzi complete the suite's dossier. The standard rooms have similarly tasteful touches: layered metal shelves, wicker wastebaskets, salad bowl-like sinks and TV stands resembling Greek pillars are just a few of the artefacts spotted on a recent tour. In the lobby, feast your eyes on the tiger claw-legged table, the old phonograph and the cool dark-blue globe. If you just can't stand the rusticity any more, plug your laptop in and take advantage of the free wi-fi or watch your ample-sized TV. The basement restaurant, with its original vaulted brick ceilings intact, serves just breakfast. Only the suites have air-con. The service is somewhat inconsistent.
