The Tea Resort, tucked away amongst the tea gardens 3km from Srimangal is, unfortunately, not among the best places to stay in the country - though it could very easily become one. The cheap rooms had cockroaches when we visited and looked very tatty, and whilst the more expensive rooms are better, they are still overpriced. We have also received less than positive comments regarding the restaurant. So why are we mentioning it? Simply, because it seems to be de rigueur when visiting Srimangal to stay here and most people book in advance.
