Rarotonga: Gina's Garden Lodges (Cabin)

Gina's is only a short walk from the best restaurant on the island, Café Tupuna, a family-run bistro that serves up gourmet dishes making extensive use of local ingredients (especially island fruit and vegetables and quite possibly the freshest fish you're ever likely to taste).

Curious fact

Gina also owns one of only two holiday properties on the otherwise deserted motu (islets) of Akaiami, out on the left-hand edge of the lagoon - ask if you're interested in staying there.

How to get there

• On arrival at Aitutaki airport, look for Willie Wichman, the driver for the Islands Tours Bus, who greets passengers arriving off the plane at the arrival gate. Willie will either give you directions, point you towards Mrs Clarke or transfer you himself to Gina's Lodges. Mrs Tutai Clarke will in most cases be there to meet and greet guests, or will have made arrangements for their transfer. Gina's Garden Lodges is situated just outside Tautu Village, on a short side road off the left hand side of the main road from the main town of Arutanga to Tautu. We are located on the Eastern side of Aitutaki island.It is approximately 5 kilometres from the airport to Gina's Garden Lodges, and everyone at Aitutaki airport can tell you where we are. Transfers are $NZ16 per adult for the round trip Airport/Lodges/Airport either by the Gina's transfer service or on the Island Tours bus.
