In the heart of Macau's casino district, the Fortuna is a solid midrange hotel. There is a small but flashy casino downstairs, but you don't need to be a gambler to crash here - it's a safe bet and it won't cost you the earth.

Location is probably the Fortuna's greatest asset. Rising up just east of the Lisboa, it is within an easy walk of almost all the gaming houses. And you will probably do some walking, because the casino at the hotel is fairly modest. It's not a hotel you're likely to spend many waking hours in. The rooms will do but no more; they are small and thoroughly inoffensive, with broadband internet connections as standard. Ultimately, if you're looking for somewhere reliable in a central location, the Fortuna is a good - if not exactly thrilling - candidate.
