In a unique narrow 55-floor building - designed after the obelisk in 2001: A Space Odyssey - the Millenium Hilton is home to 565 rooms, Hudson River views, two restaurants and a swimming pool.

Rooms have welcoming earthy tones, and most overlook the eerie World Trade Center site (and the Hudson River if you're above the 30th floor). Most visitors are eyeing Wall St, with wi-fi in the rooms (and 106cm/42inch plasma TVs), plus five meeting rooms and a 24hr business center. Room upgrades are worth considering for higher floors and better views, or a corner junior suite with living area and sleeper sofa. There are two restaurants and a nice fitness center with lots of light.
