More Miami than Mumbai, this glitzy hotel offers big hotel service on a boutique scale. Don't be put off by the chintzy lobby - things are much classier upstairs. Rooms have soft carpets, bathtubs and sea views and there's an English-style pub, several restaurants and a futuristic glass-bottomed pool.

The Arabian Sea and Marine Drive are perfectly reflected in the mirrored glass that fronts the hotel. The exterior looks icy and futuristic, but inside things are friendly and down-to-earth. That said, the glass-bottomed pool on the roof looks like something from the 25th century (from beneath, the hotel atrium offers fish eye views of swimmers in the pool). Rooms are bright and tastefully decorated (which can't always be said for the lobby) and facilities include TVs, minibars, air-con, safes and Internet connections in the rooms. Despite the boutique scale, these big hotel facilities come at big hotel rates, but you can't fault the location - perfectly situated for Nariman Point, Churchgate, Fort and Colaba.
