W stands for 'wow factor' at this rich designer concoction of a hotel overlooking the Han river. From the polka dot exterior to the modernist rooms, walking through this hotel is like leafing through a design magazine.An almost dizzying number of quirky design features have been packed into the W. The jaw-dropping lobby sets the tone with its 18m Woo bar, tiered egg-shaped seats, moving art works and DJ sounds late in the evening. The space-capsule lobby toilets have red doors and TVs inside. The rooms are cutting edge, modernist concoctions of glass, bright colours, spa baths, floor to ceiling windows and smart design. The pool and view is stunning, and the restaurants are as jazzy as everything else. All that's needed is more customers and a closer subway stop.
