The suits come to work at this attractive, centrally located business-class facility. There are, however, minor imperfections lingering in the corners of this otherwise upmarket downtown hotel. If hotels have a character, the Koreana is a type-A personality. From the straightforward layout of the front desk to the rooms with fax machines, this hotel is designed for people on a mission who expect quality on par with their expensive suits and have no use for Windsor back chairs in an over-the-top lounge. The get-busy rooms are neatly decorated in neutral tones with dark woody furniture. Rooms have a LAN connection (for a fee) though you'd better bring a compact notebook because the workspace in standard rooms is minimal. Upgrade to 'prestige' if you need more space, a fax and an attractive black-and-white-tiled bath with stand-up shower. Bottom line: the competitive price combined with high-quality rooms and downtown location make this hotel reasonable value for people on the move.
