The 20 solid rooms and bungalows, many with verandas for some quality contemplation, are spread across the hillside above the beach. The bar and restaurant run right to the water's edge.

An Aussie, an Irishman and an Englishman came to Serendipity Beach and the result was not an ethnic joke but a thoroughly enjoyable guesthouse whose amenities include Thai massage, a book exchange and an on-site internet cafe. All of the rooms here come with mozzie nets and some have fridges and/or geometrical designs created by one of the owners 'because plain white was boring'. The upper floor of the main building has the best views - you can gaze out on all of Occheuteal Beach, which is why overseas film crews often perch here for their panoramic shots. The restaurant-bar features chaises longues on the sand by day and conventional restaurant tables by night. Coasters runs all-day and overnight boat trips to Koh Russei (Bamboo Island) on its own 14m-long motor launch.
