Sihanoukville's most romantic getaway is spectacularly situated atop the bluff that separates Occheuteal Beach from Otres Beach. Surrounded by crystal-clear waters, it has 22 all-wood bungalows, many with sea views, and 12 rooms. Sea breezes usually make air-con unnecessary.

Queen Hill Resort is quiet - indeed, it borders on being isolated - and is endowed with fantastic sunset views. Many of the mosquito net-equipped bungalows have views of Otres, while others overlook Occheuteal, and in some you can hear the lapping of the waves a mere 25m (82ft) below. The tip of the bluff is strewn with dark grey boulders that disappear into the Gulf of Thailand, creating a great spot for snorkelling. The hotel's restaurant, right on the sand, specialises in Korean and Khmer dishes; waiters can supply a free inflatable boat for kids. Boats for adults can be hired at the nearby fishers' village. This special spot is likely to be transformed as development sweeps along Otres Beach so come while you still can.
