Address: Victory hill , Sihanoukville , Cambodia Show on map
This quiet wooden house, just up the slope from Victory Beach ('three minutes down, 10 minutes up'), is run by a friendly Swedish-Thai couple. The seven rooms have bright, all-tile bathrooms and king-size beds.Away from Victory Hill's noisy, somewhat sleazy main strip, the Blue Frog has the feel of a traditional Khmer house, with lots of wood and plenty of open space protected from the sun and the rain. Everything here is small-scale and friendly, making it a great place to relax with a book. The upstairs rooms - some facing the sea, others a grassy grove of trees - have wooden walls and broad-plank hardwood floors, while those downstairs come with cement walls and tile floors. The restaurant serves Swedish and Thai specialities. In-house internet access is planned.

The balcony looks out on the Gulf of Thailand, whose shore - in the form of Victory Beach - is a short walk down the hill. A bunch of restaurants (French, Indian etc) offering excellent value, and several pubs with live music in the evenings, crowd Victory Hill's main street.
The name honours the countries of origin of one of the owners' parents - 'blue' for Sweden, 'frog' for France.
