This exquisite late 19th-century hotel lies at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac near the Sorbonne and opposite leafy place Paul Langevin. Its eight rooms and five two-room apartments come complete with fully-equipped kitchenettes.

Each floor contains a generous sized apartment (25 sq m; 82 sq ft) and room (17 sq m; 56 sq ft). All of them look out onto the street and leafy square, while the bathrooms all face a courtyard. Room No 1 on the ground floor behind the reception area is wheelchair accessible and of a good size. The lobby and some of the guestrooms have a smarter and fresher look following extensive renovations. Rates vary widely according to the season; check the internet.
