Nicely modernised, the 'Sea Hotel' is strategically placed between Port Vell, La Barceloneta and El Born. The modern rooms are comfortable and in some cases have balconies from which you can gaze across the square.
The hotel, carved out of an elegant, low-slung listed building, is a modern affair. Owned by the Gargallo group, its 72 rooms have something of a samey feel about them, but they have comfortable beds and the standard mod cons. There's a wi-fi zone on the premises and rooms have safes. The best thing about this fairly quiet location is that you are no more than 10 minutes' walk from the beaches and seafood of La Barceloneta and the bars and mayhem of El Born.
