Lonely Planet review

What would a real estate agent say about this place? Location, location, location. It's just not possible in Barcelona to walk out your front door and find yourself closer to the beach. What would the same real estate agent fail to tell you? The dorms are cramped and on the dark side. This is the sort of place you'd come to if you're planning to be by the beach and looking to plug into the travellers' scene. The staff is as traveller-savvy as you'll find and the list of organised activities is endless, from nights out in Barcelona and backpacker-friendly city tours to longer excursions elsewhere in Spain. Included in the price - rare for a hostel - is breakfast and internet access. The bar at the front is a great place to gaze out to sea when the summer sun gets too warm, and you're an easy waterfront walk from La Rambla and the Barri Gòtic. As long as you're not planning to spend too much time in your room, this hostel is highly recommended and an interesting alternative to the La Rambla experience.
