Lively interiors, jazzy room designs and a friendly, detail-oriented front desk. The Comfort Inn Downtown is the hotel chain's successful entry into the boutique market at a price that suits most travelers.
Unlike most Comfort Inns, this one has designer appeal and an excellent party-lovers location. Bought and renovated by the chain a few years ago, the heritage property has been transformed with mod orange-and-yellow decor and an array of room configurations to suit most budgets. Most rooms have one or two beds, bold curtains and wall prints of old Vancouver. There are also some larger rooms - complete with sofa beds - that can accommodate families of up to six. The two corner suites are the hotel's top rooms: they include a fireplace, king bed and a Jacuzzi tub. Rates cover continental breakfast and guests receive free passes to a nearby fitness center. The youthful front desk staff has plenty of suggestions for local nightlife attractions - you're on the doorstep of the Granville entertainment district here.
