A refurbished, listed Georgian house with 15 tastefully decorated rooms, this is one of the nicest properties around and a terrific choice in the area. The handsome rooms are all en suite, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable.Gardiner St and the surrounding area is Dublin's B&B land, but it's always got a bit of bad press, especially the upper end of the street toward Dorset St, which is dingy, drug-afflicted and therefore dodgy. In the middle of the rough, this little diamond shines for its friendliness and commitment to old-style hospitality, which round these parts is all about the personal touch, the bit of chitchat over breakfast and the odd rasher of extra bacon if that's your fancy. Upstairs, the bedrooms are huge, chintzy and fairly nondescript save for the huge period windows. Most have sinks in the room with the shower and toilet en suite - another hangover from a previous era. Children under 12 pay two-thirds of the adult price, tots under three are free. A nice touch is the free parking, even after you've checked out!
