Step outside and you're on Rossio, one of Lisbon's grandest squares with its wave-like mosaic cobbles and dancing fountains. From the east flank, you have views up to Chiado, while from the west side you can glimpse Castelo de São Jorge. Be sure to see Rossio station, a neo-Manueline confection with horseshoe-shaped arches.

How to get there

• From Lisbon (Portela) International Airport (LIS):
  Distance to VIP Executive Suites Eden is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
  
  Getting there. Aerobus shuttle, number 91, runs between the airport, the city centre and the Cais do Sodre railway station every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 2 EUR for a single and 3.10 EUR for all day travel, and can be purchased on board. Public buses depart regularly for a variety of destinations in the city. A shuttle bus runs hourly to Estoril and Cascais, costing 8.50 EUR. Taxis cost 10 EUR to Lisbon city centre. There are extra fees for luggage and a 20 percent surcharge for night services. Prices are all subject to change.
  
  Getting around. The VIP Executive Suites Eden is in the Baixa district of Lisbon. An integrated tram, bus and metro system operates in Lisbon. Daily passes can be purchased for travel on public transport. Street elevators and funicular railways transport passengers to Lisbon's Barrio Alto. Ferries run between Lisbon and Cacilhas. Taxis are fairly inexpensive.
