Address: Viale piave 42 , Milan 20129, Italy Show on map
This is one slick Sheraton, with a happening aperitivo scene and Deco furniture. While it's housed in a beautifully restored early 1900s building, the features are state-of-the-art - such as the Bose sound system in every room. While this Sheraton can be a little hard to find at first, it makes up for it with rooms that are often less expensive than you'd expect and one of the coolest aperitivo spots in Milan. While the handsome facade dates from the early 1900s, the decoration of the hotel is an appealing mix of late-19th-century, Art Deco, and modern Milanese style. The garden view rooms are the best (and fantastic for breakfast), and now all come with mod cons such as wi-fi. While the Il Milanese Curioso Restaurant serves up some imaginative dishes, the star of the show is the gorgeous garden. During aperitivo hour(s), the people-watching opportunities are spectacular, especially during Fashion Week. You'll also have plenty of time to look around because while the desk staff here are friendly and efficient, the bar staff are uniformly offhand.

While vorrei un tassì (taxi please) will become one of your most used phrases staying here, there's nearby Pizza OK for fantastic pizzas (ignore the decor), L'Elephante so you can compare aperitivo scenes, and the understated but excellent Da Giacomo for exceptional seafood.
Sheratons now have their own beds, the 'Sheraton Sweet Sleeper'.
