This long-established little guesthouse may no longer be owned by Olaf but it still retains a more individually distinct style than most found in Sea Point. Behind the immaculate white walls of the front garden, there's a small plunge pool and a set of reclining lounges.Olaf's is a firm favourite with its regular guests, who return year after year for its combination of warm, friendly service and good facilities. The decor here is far from the usual B&B chintz, with warm yellow walls in the sitting room, funky leopard-print sofas and attractive wrought-iron chairs, as well as complementary decanters of port and sherry and a shelf full of books to take to the beach. It's homely but at the same time smart and quite contemporary. The bedrooms are also very attractively designed, with jute carpets, smart suede bedsteads, comfy armchairs and interesting botanical pictures on the walls - they even have their own brand of chocolates on the pillow. The bathrooms are also spacious and attractive, with roomy corner showers.
