Hotel Mounia is a yellow Moorish style building with typical arched porticos centrally located on Zerktouni Boulevard in historic Fez, Morocco. This five storey hotel features 83 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which have modern decor in warm colours and include desks, satellite television, phones, minibars, bathrooms and hair dryers. A half board room rate option is available, which incorporates buffet breakfast and lunch or dinner each day. Guests can dine in the Delices Restaurant which offers a menu of international and Moroccan cuisine, served in an informal modern dining room decorated in cheery yellows. The hotel's reception, public areas, and the Salon Dakchoucha lounge are all decorated in traditional Moroccan style with Moorish tiling and ornate carved woodwork. Guests can have a drink and snack in the English style bar, or relax and enjoy a glass of mint tea on the terrace and take in the views of the city. There is also a beauty and hair salon on site, and a nightclub, Sphinx. Parking is available for a surcharge. The oldest of the imperial cities, Fez is considered the symbolic heart of Morocco. Visitors can explore the labyrinthine streets and marvel at the gates and walls of the medina of Fes el-Bali (Old Fes), one of the largest living medieval cities in the world. Fes-Sais Airport (FES) is 20 minutes by car, 12 kilometres (eight miles) from the hotel.
