This place is different to what you might expect from a YMCA-managed establishment, with no sports facilities on-site, but you'll be hard-pressed to find cheaper views of Hong Kong's harbour. It's conveniently located opposite the city's Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The rooms here are quite comfortable, but don't expect to be inspired by the 1980s-style pastel-striped bedspreads and curtains. Distract yourself with night-time views of Kowloon's lights from the 'Harbour View' rooms. Other parts of the hotel are a bit snazzier, with rich red carpets and some contemporary art in attendance. Be warned that the service here can border on the zealous, with hotel staff liable to descend upon you en masse when you enter the lobby. The hotel gets its fair share of long-term guests, so book well in advance.
