Out on Spring Hill's northern edge, this four-star motel-style establishment overlooks Victoria Park and has plain but welcoming rooms with excellent views, some with balconies. There are good facilities for families.

The Best Western is a solid, plain option, excellent for families with children or those who want to be away from the frenetic city centre. The good-sized rooms are plain without being too depressing - they have cheerful bright blue upholstery with wicker chairs and sofas, plus balconies in some rooms. All rooms have a good range of facilities, from ironing boards to kettles, hairdryers and fridges. Pretty flower arrangements and abstract art on the walls of the corridors and public spaces also add character. The small restaurant, GTs, has kid-friendly food options, and the swimming pool and ample outside areas are all fenced off. Cots can be provided. Other bonuses include a city information desk with a free taxi phone, and very helpful reception staff.
