An advertisement for this high-rise hotel featuring a radiant cosmopolitan family skipping across the foyer wouldn't actually be off-key. A perceptible atmosphere of superior modern comfort and ease reigns. Rooms vary in quality but this is matched by the tariff.

The gold-capped pillars suggest a height of luxury this hotel does not quite attain, but this is an efficient upper midrange hotel. Considering the central location and full range of amenities the hotel offers (pool, gym, multiple eating and drinking options), this is great value. East wing rooms are larger and have a striking cobalt blue motif. We wouldn't say the overall design is particularly stylish, but it's not quite bland either. The cheapest rooms are in the west wing. The hotel features non-smoking floors, refreshing in this fuggy city and may be part of the reason many families make this their choice of stay. The location just off Wangfujing Dajie and a short walk to the Forbidden City is a major plus with the hotel's excellent restaurant options, including the ever popular buffet options at The Square (open 24 hours), rounding off the picture.
