The brochure promises 'clean sheets, hot water, stiff drinks', but the 49-room Whitelaw goes a tad beyond that. The crisp bedding is Belgian, the bathrooms marble and the alcohol complimentary (yes, complimentary!) from 19:00 to 20:00 at the hotel's 808 martini bar. After white sheets, billowy white curtains and white pickled floors, the sea-blue bathrooms come as a welcome shock. (To be fair, the blinds are chrome.) Oh, and could the retro vinyl lobby furniture get any whiter? Well, sure; there's white shag carpeting, white TVs, white mini-bars, and white bathrobes (well, at least that makes sense). Don't call us when you start dreaming in white. The hotel is probably not for everyone; rooms are small and you just gotta love the quirky whiteness or it'll drive you mad. Airport pick-up, VIP club and beach access and Continental breakfast are included.
