Right in the heart of Chinatown is the comfortable Swiss Inn, one of the area's more sophisticated looking mid-range hotels. The staff here are very welcoming, and will cater to your needs with Swiss-style precision. The Swiss Inn has become a favourite for those who want to be in the thick of KL's Chinatown bargain bustle, but not at the expense of their creature comforts. While the rooms are set back enough from the Chinatown clamour, the ground-floor buffet restaurant area fronts on to the buzz of Jln Petaling, so you can plan your next bargaining foray while enjoying an evening steamboat meal, or an icy stein of lager. Back upstairs, the smallish rooms do indeed have a bit of the Swiss in them, with blonde wood fittings, coach-light reading lamps and pastel coverings over spacious beds and well-sprung armchairs. Air-con, an electronic locking system and in-room films are standard. Note that the cheapest rooms lack windows.
