Quite simply, the Hotel President is a respectable choice for business travellers who want a central location at a decent price and don't give a damn about the quality or age of the furniture in the rooms.Hotel President was opened in 1975 and if a carbon-14 test were performed on the furniture, we might find that some of the tables, chairs and doors date back to this period. Indeed, the whole design motif might be called retro if some of the pieces were in better condition. The hotel is undergoing piecemeal renovation and if work completed at the on-site Korean and Japanese restaurants is any indication of the future, a significant upgrade in room quality might be expected. Coupled with its central location close to city hall and Myeong Dong, this could be an amazing hotel, but for now its best feature is location.
