A business option with substantial international savvy, the Amari is a Thai-owned hotel chain with non-obtrusive decor and a cornerstone location on fashionable Th Nimanhaemin. It excels in consistency and predictability.

Although Chiang Mai's business hotels prefer the Night Bazaar area, the Amari retains its hold in the market thanks to its capable staff, meeting rooms and landscaped pool. The lobby is a pretty space decorated in a cornflower-blue, colonial style where guests sip coffee and thumb the paper. The rooms are tastefully but not lavishly decorated in antique replicas and contemporary accents. Every room has a balcony and some overlook the pool and the rooflines beyond. Floors are segregated into smoking and nonsmoking. There are conference rooms and suites that can accommodate small meetings. The Amari is also within walking distance to all the activity on Th Nimanhaemin, where uni students and high-end expats hang out.
