The emblem of the neighbourhood's progressive gentrification, this boutique hotel is smack dab in the middle of Khao San Rd. Duck out of the neon-lit chaos and you will find yourself in an incongruously charming colonial-style house with beautiful rooms and a rooftop pool.

White-painted banisters, key cards and luggage boys immediately suggest a change in the comfort zone. The rooms are romantic and full of character. White weatherboard and terracotta tiles encase wood furnishings and beautiful antique lamps. All hotel comforts are provided from cable TV to take-away toothbrush, from spare towels to spa treatments. The rooftop now boasts an attractive pool and bar that are very popular with guests (and often overcrowded). It's all very comfortable and decidedly pretty, yet the place remains resolutely laid-back - you won't feel out of place arriving unwashed and sandal-clad off some crusty VIP bus. Unfortunately the proximity to the action of Khao San comes with a price - most rooms get a lot of street noise. Either party with the best of them or try getting a room near the back. All rooms come with a buffet breakfast.
