Offering excellent value, this professionally run hotel has 14 good-sized rooms with views of the 12.5m (13.6yd) pool, surrounded by a patio and lots of luscious purple orchids. Bus station pick-up is available.

Painted light apricot, the Reef Resort - vaguely Spanish in ambience - stands out for its combination of comfort and attentive service. Some of the rooms are just 3m (3.28yd) from the pool, which has an 'RR' monogram on its tile floor - a great spot for a refreshing freshwater dip, with or without a cocktail in hand. Rooms come with reasonably priced minibars, cable TV, wicker wardrobes, steel-frame beds with spring mattresses, safes and tasteful Khmer decor, much of it purchased from the non-profit Rajana shop. The bathrooms are modern, well-lit and Western-style, with plenty of room for a water-saving shower for two. The restaurant-bar has a good selection of Mexican dishes and will serve your free breakfast at any time of the day.
