It's a big statement to make, but it's fair to say that this is the grandest place to stay in all of Goa. There is nothing wanting here, except perhaps more time. The Leela is, quite simply, 152 rooms on 75 acres of pure luxury.

An enormous expanse of manicured Goan perfection with rooms of varying degrees of decadence. Villas at the 'extremely' end of the decadometer are sublime; they overhang the artificial lagoon and have their own plunge pool. The ultra-exclusive Club Pool suites hit the 'unfathomably decadent' zone on the swish scale; indoor pools, open air showers, private terraces, individual espresso machines, and (it goes without saying) private butlers. Buggies weave through the complex escorting guests from their residence through the 12-hole golf course to the private beach or to any of the eight dining facilities (try Riverside by the River Sal or Susegado by the Arabian sea). The bigger picture that the Leela's creators were striving for certainly came to fruition in this opulent, tasteful and unique resort. Rooms and grounds are perfect in every nano detail; they look digitally enhanced even when you're up close.
