This friendly budget place just west of place de la Bastille has 35 serviceable rooms off a long stone corridor lined with mirrors It's a very basic and cheap place.

This is Paris budget accommodation of the first order so don't expect any luxuries here. There's no lift, no air-con and certainly no room service. But the guestrooms are done up in cheery shades of blue, orange and red. Rooms look onto busy rue St-Antoine - fear not as windows have double-glazing - or one of two inner courtyards.
