Put simply, Daphne is a star. Spread over two sites near Piazza Barberini (Daphne Veneto and Daphne Trevi), it offers value for money, exceptional service and wonderful, tasteful rooms. These come in various shapes and sizes but the overall look is minimalist modern with cooling earth tones and linear, unfussy furniture.

If it were just for its fashionable, well-appointed rooms this would be a good place to stay. But with the personal attention the Italian-American owners pay their guests, it becomes a great place to stay. Not only will they book you into museums, theatres and restaurants, they'll even lend you a mobile phone - you only pay for the calls you make. There's also a laptop available for guest use and free wi-fi. This level of service is rare in Rome. Attention to detail is also a hallmark of the 14 rooms and two suites: each comes with an iron and ironing board, a tea and coffee-making set, and a welcome kit of shampoo and soap. Needless to say, breakfast is pretty good too.
