With gentrification in this part of Old Montreal proving successful, Gault's creators decided to convert this former carpet factory into 30 loft-style rooms, decked out in Flou beds, Artemide lamps and ergonomic chairs.

By staying on the western edge of Montreal's most overrun tourist attraction, you'll be pleased to trade a little extra walking time for a quiet room. Service is outstanding: the staff specialise in making every guest feel special. Rooftop suites have terraces and all rooms have king- or queen-size beds, flat-screen TVs and work stations. Bathrooms have toasty heated floors and most come with marble baths with room for two. Furniture designs range from slick minimalist Zen to functional Ikea-modern to funky Art Nouveau. There's a small exercise room, a bar, all-night room service and a small restaurant for lunches and light meals.
