This chain hotel tempts all types of traveller with its high-speed Internet access, indoor heated swimming pool, health club, and kitchen facilities in each room. The strip clubs and pawn shops in the area might not be everyone's cup of tea, but reasonable prices make this hotel one of Toronto's most popular.
There is high speed Internet in the rooms, and for the young at heart, there is a mini-arcade in the lobby with at least 15 different games. The on-site grill restaurant has a menu akin to Hard Rock Café, with gourmet burgers, chicken dishes, steaks and stir-fries. All rooms are suites with partial room dividers, sofa beds, mini-fridges and microwaves. Continental breakfast is included in the weekday rates, but check ahead if you're staying on the weekends. For the ultimate in kitsch, there are two penthouses covering an entire floor each, complete with heart-shaped whirlpool baths and electric fireplaces.

Old York, just south of the hotel, has numerous old buildings and sights that offering a peek into the city's past. Send yourself an 1833 postcard from Toronto's First Post Office or take a guided tour through the Victorian warehouses of Gooderham and Worts distillery.
