This chi chi boutique property has a swish, modern take on style that includes a kaleidoscope of sophisticated touches for discerning travelers. It's also right in the heart of downtown for those who like to be close to all the action.

Soaker tubs, marble-lined bathrooms and Italian bed linen are the order of the day in the Met's designer guest rooms, which are mostly decorated in soothing, organic shades of beige and olive. Bold contemporary artworks add a splash of color to the opulence, while broadband Internet, big desks and ergonomic chairs keep the business travelers happy - as will the downtown Jaguar limousine service offered to make sure they make their first appointment in style. For those with time on their hands, there's an excellent glass-enclosed indoor pool, along with a squash court, fitness center and outdoor putting green. Make sure you save time to check out the hotel's popular Diva at the Met restaurant, a serious competitor at the top end of Vancouver's best eateries. The service here is discreet and dedicated.
