If you want nothing more than a downtown location and beautiful, contemporary rooms, this is place to be. The Concept is smaller than many international branches, with good business services and no-frills efficiency.

You'll be living well at this lovely three-star hotel, right smack in downtown Buenos Aires. Just make sure you're alright with minimalist design, because that's what you'll get here. Rooms aren't huge, but they're attractive and efficiently-designed. The dark wood headboards contrast with the pea-green painted walls in the bedroom, while baths come with raised bowl sinks and glass-walled showers. There's a spa facility nearby that's open to guests, and the breakfast buffet will keep you going well into the afternoon. For four-star atmosphere head around the block to its bigger sister, the Rochester Classic (tel: 4326 6076; Esmeralda 542). Rooms are bigger here and there are more services, but the concept is the same.
