Despite the 13-story building, the Orla Copacabana has something of a boutique feel. Its stylish, understated rooms, attentive service and location overlooking the beach make it a top pick in Copacabana.Step inside the narrow lobby, and you'll pass sleek lounge chairs, artfully lit flower bouquets and giant canvases lining the walls. Up above, the design continues in the rooms, where you'll find modern furnishings, some simple artwork on the walls and excellent bathrooms with granite floors. The standards are cramped and short on natural light, and simply aren't worth the money. The deluxe rooms have a bit more space (though we wouldn't call them spacious), and buy you that desirable ocean view. At higher prices - particularly in the stylish suites - the simple-but-sleek design continues. The rooftop pool and patio are also quite inviting, and the best feature - the beach - is just steps from the door.
