Dublin is all about the business hotel these days, and the Camden Court is one of the better examples of it in the centre of town. Only 500m (550yd) south of St Stephen's Green, it won't win many design awards but it's a great night's sleep all the same.Big and bland ain't such a bad thing this close to St Stephen's Green, especially if the mainstay of your clientele is the business crowd. They like the standardised air-con rooms (much bigger than average in this ultra-competitive town) and love the amenities, which include a 16m (52ft) swimming pool, health club (with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room) and a fully equipped gym. The service is excellent, and the place is staffed by people who understand that the friendly touch is what sets this place apart from other business hotels. The Image Beauty Salon will pamper both men and women with manicures, pedicures, aromatherapy massage and - absolutely de rigueur for that high-powered business lunch - a Thalgo facial.
