Calling all Art Deco aficionados! This 1940s time-capsule flashbacks to the good ol' days of leisurely G&Ts at the bar and old-fashioned service with a smile. Cassiano Branco put his modernist stamp on the slick, spacious rooms at this boutique gem just off Avenida da Liberdade.Serene and classy, this boutique hotel is mere paces from the swish shops and restaurants on tree-lined Avenida da Liberdade. The interior exudes understated glamour with Art Deco lighting, gleaming parquet floors and a chic bar for hobnobbing over cocktails. The touch of modernist architect Cassiano Branco shows in the clean, functional aesthetic of the vast rooms, decorated in crisp blues and whites with chrome lamps, plaid fabrics and sparkling marble bathrooms. Nice touch: free port for weary, thirsty travellers. There's free internet in the lobby and wi-fi in the rooms. The English-speaking staff bend over backwards to please, which is another reason this place receives consistently excellent reviews.
