This big glass box in the northern suburb of Holešovice attracts business travellers with its four-star comforts, conference facilities and handy location just a 20min drive from the airport. Large restful rooms have the usual mod cons, and those on the higher floors have some great views over the city.

Perhaps not the most outwardly attractive of hotels, the Park is a gigantic glass-and-concrete box, though the plush lobby with its fountain and sofas is more welcoming. The 237 air-conditioned, soft-carpeted rooms offer big comfy beds and smart well-equipped bathrooms with both tubs and showers. International business travellers, tour parties and visiting sports teams form the bulk of the clientele. The atmosphere is busy and slightly formal, but there are a couple of cafes and bars where you can relax with an evening drink. There's also an on-site casino. Other handy amenities include a modern business centre, hairdresser and souvenir shop. The buffet breakfast is particularly generous. One downside is the fact that few of the reception staff seem to speak much English, which is a little unusual at these prices.
